Not all underlays are created equal. It’s common for most underlay’s to provide adequate impact sound reduction (the sound transmitted to levels underneath). However most underlay in the market doesn’t provide great walking sound acoustics. ‘Walking Sound’ is what you hear yourself when you walk on your wood or laminate floor.
